Since 1970, the East Lincoln Betterment Association (ELBA) has been committed to improving the community of East Lincoln and the Catawba Springs Township.  Just as our community has grown and transformed, so has ELBA.  We are your voice, your connection, your instrument to effect positive change.  ELBA monitors progress with a watchful eye, and recognizes hard-working citizens and organizations that are stepping forward to make this community the best it possibly can be.

We invite your family or company to become a member and join the masses who are already actively involved in making a difference . . a community united for the betterment of all.   As a resident or corporate citizen, you have a vested interest in this community.  Share your vision, your passion, your perspective ... and receive so much more in return.

Community Outreach

ELBA is dedicated to being the connection force within the community, including;

  •     Creating awareness of resources and activities

  •     Facilitating and supporting community events

  •     Recognizing individual and community achievements

Economic Development

ELBA is dedicated to facilitating, supporting and leveraging opportunities for well-planned growth with the right mix of retail, industry, housing and entertainment.

  • Initiating incentives for patronizing local businesses

  • Working in unison with economic incentive and development activity

Education

ELBA is dedicated to seeking ways to enhance educational opportunities within our community while celebrating the successes and advancements of individuals and groups at all levels of education.

  • Monitoring decisions of school the school board

  • Awarding scholarships to students

  • Recognizing efforts of teachers and administrators

  • Supporting opportunities for higher education

  • Supporting opportunities for choices in education

Environment

ELBA supports the changes necessary for progress and growth while protecting and preserving our community's character and natural resources. 

  • Monitoring cleanliness of streets, roadways and waterways

  • Encouraging curb appeal of residences and businesses

  • Supporting efforts towards recycling and preservation

Public Policy/Government

ELBA is dedicated to being the community's voice to assure that decision are made in the best interest of tax payers and the community at large.

  • Representation on county boards and commissions

  • Monitoring zoning, budgetary issues, and other developments within county/state government.

  • Rallying support or opposition to issues
